How signal gaps break your reporting pack

Missing properties and delayed events turn confident service narratives into guesswork by the time leadership opens the file.

Teams often discover reporting problems in the meeting, not in the pipeline. A journey was never instrumented. An outcome event arrives a day late. Two services reuse the same event name with different meanings.

Before you polish the narrative, audit the application analytics that feed it. Collapse synonyms, require stable service identifiers, and document which client retries should not inflate failure counts. Clean inputs make modest packs more persuasive than ornate ones.

Fix the stream first; the story follows.
